-During 1993, 1994, and 1995, the Water Works Plant went through a major upgrade of it's facilities.
-Four new 1400 gallon per minute wells were developed at our Glick well field, along with an existing well being completely reconditioned.
-A new free spanning aluminum cover was installed over our five million gallon in ground reservoir at Columbian Park.
-Two 1963 metal, one million gallon towers were completely rehabilitated.
-Two new composite towers were built on our distribution system, one is a one million gallon tank and the other is a two million gallon tank.
-In 2002, Lafayette Water Works added two large diesel powered generators at our well fields. This will give us the capability of producing our own electricity to pump water at our full capacity, in the event of a power outage. We also have a large diesel generator at Columbian Park that can run the booster station if power is lost.
-In 2014, our Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) was replaced using state of the art fiber optic conductivity.
-In 2019 Lafayette Water Works was approved to build a new 2 million gallon composite water tower and a 3 million gallon underground reservoir.
