Advancing Manufacturing

Advancing Manufacturing is an initiative linking Local employers, educators, business, and government leaders to train and connect job seekers with area employers. This program is a great way to start a new career in the northwest Indiana region.

Lafayette Urban Enterprise Association

The Lafayette Urban Enterprise Association (LUEA) is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization with 501 c 3 status, established to direct enterprise zone activities and reinvestment. The LUEA is managed by a 12-member board appointed to a 4-year term by the Lafayette City Council and the Mayor. Main Street

Downtown Lafayette/West Lafayette has been recognized as a "Designated" Main Street community by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Downtown utilizes National Main Street's 4-Point Plan:
  • Design
  • Promotions
  • Economic Restructuring
  • Organization
This area includes the "Hilltop-to-Hilltop" region, extending from the Five Points intersection in Lafayette to the Village in West Lafayette. Greater Lafayette Commerce's Downtown Development Council is the Main Street organization.
