Freedom Fest 2021

The City of Lafayette will be the place to celebrate the 4th of July this year with events for the entire family starting Friday, July 2. From Friday to Monday, Lafayette will offer the following All-American, family-friendly weekend as part of Lafayette Freedom Fest:

July 2 6 pm - First Friday, Downtown Lafayette Arts and Retail Experience

July 3 7 pm - Lafayette Aviators Baseball Game, Loeb Stadium

July 4 11 am - 4th of July Parade, 18th and Main to Columbian Park

6 pm - Stars and Stripes Concert, Riehle Plaza

Featuring the Lafayette Citizens Band, Freedom Singers, Lafayette Jeff Jazz Combo and Alumni Band, Clave Caribe Latin Music

10 pm – Fireworks over the Wabash, Riehle Plaza (following the Stars

and Stripes Concert)

July 5 10 am to 7 pm – Family FUN Day, Columbian Park

FREE Train Rides, FREE Zoo Admission, FREE Pedal Boat Rides,

3 pm - Grand Opening of the Memorial Island Amphitheater

FREE Live Music by The Shake Ups (4 pm) and RockAmerica (6 pm)

“We are thrilled that Lafayette will offer a wide variety of family-friendly events over the long July 4th weekend to celebrate Independence Day,” states Mayor Tony Roswarski. “We are excited to showcase our City’s amenities especially those at Columbian Park. So stay in Lafayette and enjoy everything Americana from a baseball game, 4th of July parade, concert to fireworks and the grand opening of the new Memorial Island at Columbian Park.”
