At 1611 hours, 10-16-15, Lafayette Police Officers responded to a reported stabbing that took place at 524 Westchester Ln. Upon arrival, Officers located the victim, KIARA COLLINS (age 25), whom had suffered an incision-type wound to her face. Investigation revealed that KIARA COLLINS and a juvenile female were involved in a verbal conflict that escalated into a physical confrontation. During the physical fight, KIARA COLLINS was cut with an unknown weapon under her left eye.

Officers later located and arrested the minor female.

KIARA COLLINS was transported to St. Elizabeth East ER and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The fact a person has been arrested or charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
