[ARCHIVED] Robbery - 6th/New York St

On Saturday, February 27th, at 4:49am, the Lafayette Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the intersection of S 6th St and New York St. The caller, an employee with a local taxi company, reported that he had been robbed by a subject. He advised that he had just dropped the subject off at the above intersection. The suspect left briefly and returned with a mask and firearm. The suspect fled the area after obtaining cash from the driver. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5’11”, 190lbs, with dreadlocks.
