[ARCHIVED] Armed Robbery at Meijer parking lot

On April 15th, at approximately 10:19am, the Lafayette Police Department responded to Meijer, 4901 State Rd 26 E, in reference to a report of an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot. The victim stated that she was approached while loading groceries into her vehicle by two subjects. They demanded her purse and reportedly displayed a firearm. After relinquishing her property, the suspects fled the scene in a maroon van.

The victim described the suspects as a black male, 30’s, wearing gray sweatpants, and a black female 25-30 years old, wearing a black sweatshirt.

This incident is currently under continued investigation by the Lafayette Police Detective Division. Anybody with any further information regarding this situation is encouraged to call the Lafayette Police Department (807-1200) or the We-Tip Hotline (800-78-CRIME).
