[ARCHIVED] Check & Go Robbery

Lafayette Police responded to the Check & Go at 3620 St Rd 38 East at about 10:50 am on Friday morning due to a report of an armed robbery. Police arrived and spoke to the on-duty clerk, who was the only person in the business at the time of the robbery. There were no reported injuries.

The alleged suspect was described as a tall, thin, black male, wearing a red jacket, dark sock hat, with a covering over his face. The witness reported the alleged suspect displayed a handgun, while demanding money. The man fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers utilized K-9 units in an attempt to track the alleged suspect’s whereabouts. The man was not located and police are requesting the public’s help to gather leads. Anyone with information is asked to call the Lafayette Police Department at (765) 807-1200 or the anonymous We-Tip Hotline at
