At approximately 2:45am on Monday May 16, 2016, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery at the Marathon Village Pantry, located at 2450 Sagamore Parkway N. The clerk reported that a white male wearing a dark jacket and jeans displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The suspect then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported during the incident. The suspect and cash are outstanding at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
