On Friday, October 7th, at 9am, the Lafayette Police Department will participate in a National “Coffee with a Cop” Day, promoted by the National COPS (Community Oriented Policing Services) Office. The event brings police officers and the community members they serve together to discuss issues occurring in our community. The mission of the program is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens. Community members can ask questions about crime and safety, as well as discuss issues they see in their neighborhoods.
The event will be held at Christos, 3291 Teal Rd, and will last up to two hours. People interested in attending do not need to sign up, just show up at Christos and meet with local police.
