[ARCHIVED] Internet Cyber Safety Class on Oct 18th 6:30 - 7:30

On Tuesday, October 18th at 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm Detective Mark Pinkard from the Lafayette Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit will give a free lecture to citizens on internet topics including, keeping young people safe from cyberbullying, internet technical terms, abbreviations, social networking sites, chat rooms and instant messaging. Detective Pinkard will also address blogging and online sexual predators.

The training is designed for parents of juveniles to increase their awareness of internet and computer usage problems and potential dangers.
