On January 1st, at approximately 4:58am, the Lafayette Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Circle K gas station at 3112 Ferry Street. The alleged suspect, described as a black male, thin buid and wearing a red “Carhart” type coat, entered the store and demanded money from the on-duty clerk, while armed with a knife.
The alleged suspect stole money and fled the store on foot. Lafayette Police K-9 and officers attempted a track, but were unable to locate the alleged suspect. There were no injuries reported by the clerk. The investigation into this robbery is ongoing. Surveillance video and photos will be released when available.
