[ARCHIVED] Village Pantry Robbery

On January 5th, at approximately 2:55am, the Lafayette Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the Village Pantry at South St and S 9th St. The suspect entered the store, approached the clerk, and demanded cash and cigarettes. The suspect then fled the store on foot. A weapon was not displayed and no injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’5”, 150 lbs., and wearing an orange hat with a facial covering. Surveillance photos will be released when they are available.

This investigation is ongoing. Anybody with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the Lafayette Police Department (807-1200) or the We-Tip Hotline (800-78-CRIME).
