[ARCHIVED] Shooting on Briarwood Ct

 On Saturday January 21, 2017, at approximately 9:05 PM, the Lafayette Police Department responded to the area of 1600 Briarwood Court regarding a report of shots fired.  While responding to the initial report, officers were advised that a man had walked into the Village Pantry store at 38 and Creasy Lane with a gunshot wound to the face.  LPD officers, assisted by deputies from the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Department, rendered aid until medics arrived.  The reported victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment. The injuries to the reported victim were not life-threatening.  

 

Officers continued the investigation in the 1600-block of Briarwood Court, where the shooting is believed to have taken place. No other persons were injured in this incident.  The investigation is ongoing.
