Check Well Being Investigation – Kidnapping Arrest

On May 3rd, around 1:40 am, The Lafayette Police responded to a check well-being complaint in the 100 block of Lori Lee Drive.  Officers arrived and spoke to the caller, who reported concern for his female roommate, who was missing.  Officers observed signs of a struggle inside the home and initiated protocols to search for the female.

The female victim was located in the Indianapolis area and taken to a hospital for treatment.  The reported victim told investigators she was battered and kidnapped at her Lori Lee Drive home by her estranged husband, Todd A. George (52).  Lafayette Police detectives collected case facts and evidence throughout the day.  Police located George in Kokomo, Indiana and arrested George for Burglary, Kidnapping, and Aggravated Battery.   Mr. George is currently being transported to the Tippecanoe County jail.  The victim is in stable condition and receiving treatment for her injuries.

The case will be turned over to the Tippecanoe County Prosecutors Office to review for charges.
