On May 10th, at approximately 5:01am, the Lafayette Police Department received a call regarding an attempted robbery at the Circle K gas station in the 3100-block of Ferry St. Witnesses advised a suspect had entered the store with a knife and attempted to obtain cash. The suspect was described as a black male, thin build, approximately mid-20’s, wearing black pants, and a black sweatshirt. The suspect fled westbound from the store before money was obtained. No injuries were reported.
This incident is still under investigation. Anybody with information regarding this attempted robbery is encouraged to call the Lafayette Police Department (807-1200) or the We-Tip Hotline (800-78-CRIME). Surveillance photos are not available at this time.
