Shots Fired Investigation
Around 12:30 am on August 30th, Lafayette Police responded to the 2200 block of Drexel Drive for a report of a domestic argument wherein shots were fired at a house. Police investigated the matter and collected evidence.
Police learned a man and woman had been arguing over property prior to the woman reportedly shooting at the garage and house. The man and woman lived together in the Drexel Drive home. The woman was outside when she allegedly fired several rounds at the house. The man was inside the home when the shots were fired. No one was struck or injured by the bullets.
The woman fled the scene before police were called. The woman was later located in Delphi, Indiana. Lafayette detectives are coordinating with Delphi police in the on-going investigation.
