Lieutenant Scott McCoy, a 22 year veteran of the Lafayette Police Department, recently graduated from the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety. The course is a 10 week program, which was implemented by the Northwestern Center for Public Safety in 1983. Since then, over 18,000 national and international law enforcement officers have graduated.
The School of Police Staff and Command provides upper-level college instruction in twenty-seven core blocks, to include; Leadership, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Organizational Behavior, Applied Statistics, Planning and Budgeting.
The Lafayette Police Department anticipates a variety of benefits from Lieutenant McCoy’s attendance at this program.
