[ARCHIVED] Street Crimes Unit Makes Drug Arrest

May 22nd,

On Tuesday, May 22nd, around 9:45 pm, The Lafayette Police Department Street Crimes Unit conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation in the 500-block of South 18th Street.  The driver was identified as Randall Willis (32) and his passenger Robert Hudson (40).  During the traffic stop investigation, officers located a syringe in the vehicle along with precursors for making methamphetamine.

Randall was arrested for Possession of a Syringe and Possession of Precursors.  Hudson was arrested for false informing, as well as outstanding arrest warrants through White County and Howard County.  Both were transported to the Tippecanoe County jail.  Officers from the Indiana State Police were called to collect the evidence associated with methamphetamine precurors. 

The case has been turned over to the Tippecanoe County Prosecutors Office to review for charges.
