Lafayette Police SWAT/Negotiator Response to 605 S. 19th Street
On December 3, 2018 at approximately 2:35am the Lafayette Police Department responded to 605 S. 19th Street to assist the West Lafayette Police Department with a warrant service call. The suspect wanted on warrant was 22 year old Brendan Johnathan Weaver. Weaver barricaded himself in the attic of the residence at which time the Lafayette Police Department’s SWAT Team and Hostage/Crisis Negotiations Teams were activated. After conversations with Weaver by negotiators, he surrendered without incident and was booked in to the Tippecanoe County Jail.
