[ARCHIVED] Lafayette Police swear in a new officer

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                                                              August 23, 2019


The following officer was sworn into the Lafayette Police Department by the Honorable Mayor Tony Roswarski on August 23, 2019.  Officer Tate will begin training within the Lafayette Police Department on Monday, August 26th, 2019. 


                Brittany Tate is 28 years old and is originally from Lee’s Summit, Missouri.  Brittany is a 2018 graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and was recently employed as a police officer for the Madison Police Department in Madison, Indiana.  Brittany was a track athlete in high school and college and continues to enjoy the sport by coaching in her personal time.  Brittany enjoys the Lafayette area and is looking forward to the career opportunities at the Lafayette Police Department.
