We-Tip Report Leads to 3 Drug Arrests

We-Tip Leads to 3 Drug Arrests


On March 19th, 2018 at 10:58 pm Officers from the Lafayette Police Department were following up on a We-Tip complaint of drug use in an apartment at 935 S 4th St.  With the assistance of a Lafayette Police K9, officers found 55 grams of methamphetamine, 18 grams of marijuana, syringes, and paraphernalia.  The investigation led to the arrest of 3 people for various drug offenses. 

The Lafayette Police Department would like to credit the continued community support of the We-Tip program for these arrests.  The tips that we receive are invaluable to addressing problems in the community.  The following people were arrested, all three were transported to the Tippecanoe County Jail.


Steven Fisher (27)

-Dealing in methamphetamine

-Possession of methamphetamine

-Maintaining a common nuisance

-Possession of marijuana

-Unlawful possession of a syringe


Michael Brooks (28)

-Maintaining a common nuisance

-Possession of marijuana

-Possession of paraphernalia


Cortney Taylor-Metzger (42)

-Unlawful possession of a syringe

-Visiting a common nuisance

The fact a person has been arrested or charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
