Allowing one of two chickens in people's home backyards would be beneficial in many ways. Limiting the number (maybe 2-4?) would insure containment. No roosters would keep noise down. Most progressive city communities in Indiana already allow chickens in backyards. This would help with feeding households and add to the sense of community.

I have moved to the downtown area recently and, to my dismay, discovered that it is impossible to sign up for permanent parking in any of the existing structures. They are all fully booked. Nor do residents get a sticker that relieves them of the 2 hour limit for parking on most streets in the area.
Economics 101 tells us that if something is in short supply, the price should go up. Why not increase the price of monthly parking and use the proceeds to build a new structure? If the city wants a vibrant downtown in which people actually live, parking should not be an obstacle, especially given the abundance of empty lots around.

I feel that they landlords should be required to hire a hauling company to place a container on the property and throw everything into the container. Thus the neighborhood does not have to look at the mess for as long as it takes the city to force the landlord to clean it up.

It would be great to see Lafayette build decent sidewalks/walking/cycling paths within city limits. I drive along SR-38/Main St every morning and see a lot of people walking in the grass and/or waiting in the grass for the city bus. It's expensive to own a car thus people need the bus or a safe path so they can walk/cycle to work to these areas. It seems Lafayette only has decent walkability with in the Sagamore Pkwy loop but a lot of businesses are located outside this area.

That same siding space continues to the southeast, until it splits off as an abandoned rail bed running south of Heartland Automotive, out of Lafayette to Stockwell, Clark's Hill, Colfax, and finally Thornown, where it becomes the Farm Heritage Trail/Big 4 Trail. There is a lack of recreational activities for adults. After doing research I have discovered multiple slow pitch softball leagues and basketball leagues but I believe we need to add adult flag football leagues along with other sports. I was taken off the streets by officer earnest . Wonderful cop. Cherry Buckley. It went amazing for month. Cherry is an amazing woman. I noticed her assistant kicked good woman i met out Cindy Shaffer out shes a good woman it hurt her. Then i noticed every time id go see cherry her assistant would whisper in her and her daughters ear.
Im a good person. DRUGS NOT ISSUES. well i stayed from September to this last week . Back into a career. I noticed that every time Cherry would be happy with me running the place helping Nora crisis . I caught covid for month. I busted butt to get to where i am. On my own wil power . Im just going to say. I don't do this . As long as Stephanie works fot cherry. Im letting Nora know . It is not a stable. Crisis intervention. Its nerve damaging . They were really hateful

It would hopefully bring people out doors. I've been running for a few months and i see other running. i can see if we hold events for charities or it could bring more people out and feel like a community. and the archery would teach kids or adults a new hobby or skill. it basically gets people out and to have fun or help people get out of their comfort zones. there is a large community out there wanting to do stuff like this but feel unsafe to do it on side walks or parks. there is pros and cons about it. i honestly think it would bring some of the community together.
