Conveniently located in the middle of the city, Murdock Park occupies 39 acres of urban forest. The park features a 0.52-mile interpretive trail that allows visitors to identify the nearly 40 varieties of trees located within the park. Also, with Murdock Park is Cardinal Court, a great place for a pick-up game with friends. The sled run is a favorite wintertime attraction in Lafayette, entertaining kids and parents alike. A snow machine ensures that the perfect amount of white powder is available when cold temperatures prevail.

The Lafayette Parks Department reserves the right to make snow when deemed appropriate for the conditions:
  • Snow is made after 3 consecutive days of temperatures below 27 degrees
  • Weather conditions need to be favorable for our staff to make snow (little chance of rain, lower temperatures, etc)
Disc Golf
Visit the Wabash Disc Golf website for a course map.
