  1. 2nd Street Southbound Lane Closure from Columbia St to Main St

    December 13, 2016 - November 1, 2017

    Beginning on December 13th, Edwards-Rigdon Construction will be closing the South bound lane of 2nd Street from Columbia Street to Main Street. This closure is for work on the 101 Main Street/Marq development project. 2nd Street will then be one way north bound through October 2017.   2. Restore Sagamore - Sagamore Parkway between Kossuth St & South St Lane Restrictions

    March 13, 2017 - August 1, 2018

    Beginning Monday March 13, 2017 Milestone Contractors will be restricting one lane in each direction on Sagamore Parkway between Kossuth Street and South Street.   3. Brown Street Sewer CSO Project

    April 3, 2017 - September 22, 2017

    Please see the following updates to the traffic limitations as a result of the Brown Street Sewer CSO Project in downtown Lafayette. The intersection of 3rd and Brown will be opened to traffic starting May 26th. The recently closed intersection of 4th and Brown will be opened to traffic on June 23rd. Through and cross traffic along Brown Street between 4th and 9th St. will remain closed until September 22nd. Please slowdown in the surrounding areas and watch for slow moving vehicles in and out of the construction zone, as well as construction crew workers. The suggested detour routes include North Street, 9th Street and Cincinnati Street. Watch for signs and allow extra time when traveling through this area.     For 2 year olds & caregiver. With Two at the Zoo young children can learn with their favorite play partner - you! Classes are drop-in, and include on-your-own exploratory play time featuring educational stations with zoo artifacts (like feathers, shells, puppets and replicas), crafts, sensory bins, and an animal encounter. Program length varies based on participant preferences; drop-in window is two hours- stay and play as long as you'd like! Drop-in exploration and facilitated play with adult caregiver.     For ages 12-14 years. Discovery Workshops delve into issues related to zookeeping and wildlife conservation. Through hands-on explorations and discussions, students will have the chance to make new friends and discover what animal careers are all about. Each session focuses on a different aspect of working with and around animals. Interactions with live animals included in all sessions. Behind-the-scenes access and exhibit tours included, weather permitting. Close-toed shoes required for participation.
