    Construction of the Ellsworth Project, closures for construction, deliveries, hoisting and trash removal from 12/28/20 to 7/29/22. Closure locations: South Street sidewalk and parking from 4th Street to 5th Street; 5th Street Southbound lane and sidewalk; Alabama Street Westbound lane and sidewalk. Detail summary of closures: Installing jersey barriers with chain link fence on top of barriers, closing off parking and sidewalk on the South side of South Street from the entry into Regions Bank parking lot, East to 5th Street; then the Southbound lane and sidewalk on 5th Street from South Street to Alabama Street; then the Westbound lane and sidewalk on Alabama Street from 5th Street to 4th Street.   5. Closure - Creasy and Bonlou Intermittent Closures

    From November 2nd to December 31st, there will be intermittent closing of the Northbound/Southbound right lanes of Creasy, and the Eastbound/Westbound right lanes of Bonlou at their intersection.  This will be to allow for the installation of a new traffic signal, curb ramps, and line striping.  

    There will be construction signage and arrow boards set up during daytime hours to direct traffic through the area.  All lane restrictions will be installed at the beginning of the day and removed at the end of the day.

  6. Parking Closure - Main St

    From December 1, to December 8, the four parking places on the North side of the Lahr Building will be closed due to the placement of a lift for repair work to be done on the building.  To accommodate downtown events, the lift will be removed from Friday afternoon to Monday morning.

    On December 4, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the Greater Lafayette Commerce will be hosting the Holiday Farmers Markets on 5th St between Main and Columbia; the roads and parking spaces will be closed for the duration of the market to allow for pedestrians. Signs and barricades will be present to alert traffic.

    The markets will be open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for the public.

    The Greater Lafayette Commerce will be hosting a Very Merry Main St. Parade on December 4th, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.  

    The following streets will be closed to traffic and parking from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM the day of the parade.

    Elizabeth St, Cincinnati St, North St, Ferry St. and Main St from 9th to 14th St.

    Brown St from 9th St to Erie

    11th St, 12th St, and 13th St from Union to Main St.

    14th St. from Union to Cincinnati 

    10th St. from Cincinnati to Main

    Erie St from Union to Ferry.

    The Parade Route Streets:

    Main St from 2nd to 11th St

    2nd St from Columbia to Ferry

    Ferry St from 2nd to 4th St

    3rd St at Union St turn off, Cincinnati, Brown and North St.

    4th and 9th St, Columbia to Ferry.

    Vehicles will be moved but not impounded if found in areas that are intended to be closed during the parade.
