Tropicanoe Cove Features back
Date of Record: January 1, 2008

Tropicanoe Cove is the fun of a tropical vacation that's just a short trip from home. Join us to enjoy the many exciting features of Lafayette's premiere aquatic facility.

Banana Peel Tube Slide What's bright yellow, totally wild and 299 feet on watery fun? The Banana Peel tube slide at Tropicanoe Cove! Grab a tube and climb the tower for the wildest ride in town. Tropicanoe Cove patrons must be at least 48" tall to ride the Banana Peel.
The entire family will have fun splashing in the 168,000 gallons of crystal clear water of the Frog Pond. The zero depth entry makes this the friendliest pool at the site. Shaded by a giant umbrella, mom can relax in a beach chair while the toddler plays in shallow water. The more adventurous can splash in waist high water.

Lazy River

Slap on the sunscreen, scoop up a tube, and spend the afternoon floatin' down Cattail Crik. Our 640-foot lazy river is the favorite activity of families visiting the Cove. Everyone can kick back, relax, and unwind as they float through the gentle currents.

Sunfish Bay

If you think a playground is fun, just add water! Sunfish Bay blends all the fun of water with the action of a playground. The little guys will spend hours turning levers and dumping buckets, while fountains and sprays provide a cooling blast.

Dolphin's Delight

The Dolphin's Delight, mini water slide, was designed especially for small children and toddlers. The soft molded sculpture lends lifelike form to the three dolphins that rise high above the water spray and will bring a squeal of delight to every child. The Dolphin's Delight is exclusively for our patrons under 48" tall.

Toucan Chute

The kids can always be found racing down the Toucan Chute. These double high-energy drop slides are a popular feature that sends riders plunging into the main leisure pool.
