This Department is responsible for all employment issues within the City of Lafayette and currently supports 19 Departments with a total employment of over 500 employees.

Human Resources is responsible for the administration of employee benefit programs such as health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision; life insurance and retirement plans. These benefits are administered for active and former employees.

 

Many other aspects of employment are maintained and administered from within the Human Resources Department. They include: Personnel Policies and Procedures, Salary Administration, Union/Labor Relations, Training, and Performance Management.

All job postings may be found in the City Hall bulletin board located on the first floor of the building and within each of the Departments and on the City of Lafayette website. Jobs are posted as they become available and applications are accepted ONLY FOR OPEN POSITIONS in the Human Resources Office located on the first floor of City Hall.
