2022 Schedule of Events

The City of Lafayette will be the place to celebrate the 4th of July this year with events for the entire family starting Thursday, June 30. From Thursday to Monday, Lafayette will offer the following All-American, family-friendly weekend as part of Lafayette’s Freedom Fest:

June 30

7:30 pm – First-ever band concert at the new Loeb Stadium featuring the Grammy award-winning band America! Tickets are still available online at: https://longpac.org/events/america-loeb-stadium-concert

July 1

6 pm – First Friday – Experience the local arts, unique retail shops, and fine dining in historic downtown Lafayette

July 2

8 am to 12:30 pm - Lafayette Farmers Market, 5th Street, Downtown Lafayette

July 3

10 am to 7 pm – Family FUN Day, Columbian Park – Enjoy the DJ sounds of Playback DJ from 1-4 pm at the amphitheater while you are visiting the zoo, traveling on the train, boating around the lagoon or swimming at Tropicanoe Cove

July 4

  • 11 am - 4th of July Parade, 18th and Main to Columbian Park. This year’s theme is Hats Off to America! The parade line-up will include a hat parade by participants who decorate their hats portraying the American spirit. Parade entries are due by 5 pm, Wednesday, June 29.   • 6 pm - Stars and Stripes Concert, Riehle Plaza, featuring the Lafayette Citizens Band, Freedom Singers, Lafayette Jeff Jazz Combo and Alumni Band, Clave Caribe Latin Music Band, and the Tippecanoe Ancient Fife and Drum Corp.
  • 10 pm – Fireworks over the Wabash, Riehle Plaza (following the Stars and Stripes Concert)
