Evidence Technician

Another functional area that has changed Law Enforcement dramatically has been in the area of Crime Scene Investigations. We have a full time Evidence Technician that has received highly specialized training and equipment unique to this position.


The Evidence Technician is responsible for the forensic investigation of all major crime scenes. Some of those responsibilities include:
  • Analysis and submission of evidence to a forensic lab
  • Collection and documentation of evidence
  • Courtroom testimony
  • Crime scene photography
  • Crime scene preservation and management


This program has been developed further to include 4 technicians in the patrol division who assist in this role. All of the crime scene technicians receive extensive training to include, basic crime scene, shooting reconstruction, blood stain reconstruction, photography, and other areas of training.
