Lafayette Police Swear in Three New Officers

   
LAFAYETTE, INDIANA – November 11th, 2020 – 

 

On November 11th, 2020 three officers were sworn into the Lafayette Police Department by the honorable Mayor Tony Roswarski.  All three officers will begin their training on Monday.  

 

Jeremy Stockdale is 33 years old and originates from Lafayette.  He graduated from Harrison High School and attended Ivy Tech Community College.  Prior to becoming a Lafayette Police Officer, Jeremy was a small business owner.   Jeremy is married and has one child.   Jeremy has always dreamed of being a police officer and looks forward to serving his community.

 

Taylor Turner is 23 years old and is originally from Kirklin, Indiana.  Taylor graduated from Clinton Central High School and achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from IUPUI Indianapolis.  Prior to becoming a Lafayette Police Officer, Taylor worked in the private sector while attending college.  Taylor chose Lafayette because he can serve this community while remaining close to his family.

 

Matthew Wozniak is 34 years old and is returning to LPD after a short period working in the private sector.  During his time with LPD, Matt served as a Crime Scene Investigator, Field Training Officer, Drone Pilot, and was a member of the LPD Bike Patrol Unit.  Matt is married and has 3 children.  Matt is excited to rejoin the law enforcement profession and his partners at the Lafayette Police Department.
