Lafayette Police Investigating Domestic Battery Caught on Camera

LAFAYETTE, INDIANA –

On January 31, 2021, at 2:40pm, the Lafayette Police responded to 510 Sagamore Parkway North (McDonalds) for the report of a domestic battery occurring in the parking lot. The involved parties of the domestic battery had left the scene in a vehicle prior to officer’s arrival, but witnesses of the battery caught the incident on video, which was subsequently circulated on social media.

The video evidence captured by witnesses, along with information provided from the public, helped officers identify the parties involved in the domestic battery. Officers have since located the female victim and were able to check her well-being.

Donovan Luff (22) is a person of interest in this case, which is still actively being investigated.

Thank you to the public for the assistance in this investigation. Anyone else with information involving this case, please contact the Lafayette Police Department at (765) 807-1200 or the WeTip Hotline at (800) 78-CRIME.
