[ARCHIVED] Arrest Made in Recent Tire Slashings

On January 26th, detectives with the Lafayette Police Department, with the assistance from the Patrol Division, arrested a 16-year-old male for Criminal Mischief related to a string of incidents reported on January 11th. The incidents included multiple vehicles with slashed tires. A complete count of damaged vehicles is still being determined, however, there have been 51 reports of slashed tires made to this department to date.

The juvenile was transported to Tippecanoe County Juvenile Probation and released to their custody. His name is being withheld due to his age.

These cases are still under investigation and more arrests could follow. If anybody has any information regarding these incidents, please contact Detective McDole (807-1264) or the We-Tip Hotline (800-78-CRIME).
