The Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department will be holding an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course at the Lafayette Jefferson High School aquatic facility. Participants must be at least 15 years of age and be able to pass the pre-requisite swim test in order to participate in the course. Participants must also attend all three course sessions.
The course sessions will be held from 5:00pm – 10:00pm on Friday, April 15 and from 8:00am – 5:00pm on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17. Participants must attend all three class sessions in order to obtain certification. Participants who successfully complete the course will be certified in CPR, First Aid, AED and Lifeguarding through the American Red Cross.
The cost of the three day course is $175.00 and covers the Red Cross certification fee and all course materials. Registration begins Monday February 22, 2016. Registration is available in person at 1915 Scott Street or online at www.lafayetteparksreg.org.
