On Monday February 1, 2016 at approximately 11:15pm, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a reported attempted robbery at Devon Plaza, in the 2300-block of N 26th St. The caller reported that a male approached his room, then attempted to force his way into the room, demanding money. The victim used an electronic stun device to fight off the suspect, who then fled the scene. No weapon was presented in the attempted robbery and no injury was sustained by the victim. The suspect possibly fled the scene in a white Jeep Cherokee. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’5”, 180lbs, and wearing a gray sweater.
