[ARCHIVED] Child Death Investigation

On April 25th, at approximately 2:45pm, the Lafayette Police Department responded to a report of a child not breathing in the 1700-block of Shenandoah Dr. Upon arrival, officers located a 1-year old that was unresponsive. The child was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital. The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and will be conducted in cooperation with the Coroner’s Office. Anybody with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Lafayette Police Department (807-1200) or the We-Tip Hotline (800-78-CRIME).
