Death Investigation

Members of the Lafayette Police Department Detective Division, along with crime scene investigators, investigated the death of two adults inside 3231 Chaucer Drive on Saturday, August 13th. Police were called for service at 2:15 pm for a check well-being call. Officers investigated the complaint and found the bodies of two deceased adults inside the home.

Police continue to investigate the matter and have identified the two deceased adults as 46 – year old Raymond Hastings of Lafayette and 35 – year –old Monica Rhine, also of Lafayette. The Tippecanoe County Coroner’s office will conduct autopsies today on both bodies to determine cause and manner of death. Additional information will be released after the autopsies are completed this afternoon.
