[ARCHIVED] Lafayette Community Bank Robbery

On Saturday, December 17th, at approximately 11:38am, the Lafayette Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the Lafayette Community Bank in the 3600-block of Cougill Ln. Officers determined that the suspect entered the bank location and demanded money from multiple tellers. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the location in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’ to 6’1”, wearing glasses, a red sweatshirt, and a hat. No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported.

This incident is still under investigation. Detectives are also looking into any connection between this robbery and one that occurred on November 18th at the Lafayette Bank and Trust in Payless on Maple Point Dr. Anybody with any information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Lafayette Police Department (807-1200) or the We-Tip Hotline (800-78-CRIME).
