[ARCHIVED] Fight & Shots Fired

For Immediate Release:


On January 17, 2017, at approximately 5:00 pm, Lafayette Police responded to the 1900 block of Windemere Drive for a report of a fight with gunshots having been fired. Officers arrived and located several people in the area along with spent shell casings. No injuries were reported. Many of the people involved in the altercation fled the area prior to police arrival.

Further investigation led officers to an apartment in the complex where officer conducted interviews and collected evidence. Officers seized a gun during the investigation. No arrests were made due to the disturbance, but one subject was taken into custody by Tippecanoe County Corrections officers.
