Sagamore Parkway & South Street Intersection Shutdown

As the Restore Sagamore project progresses, staring Monday, July 17, the Sagamore Parkway & South Street intersection will be completely shut down to traffic.  The closure is expected to last 28 days.  This project will include a major overhaul of the intersection and infrastructure.  The Lafayette Police are working with construction planners and managers to ease traffic problems by providing a variety of outlets for citizens to get information on the project.

Travelers can get immediate traffic alerts by signing up with Nixle by texting LAFAYETTEPD to 888777.  Also, Lafayette Police will provide information on Twitter @LafayetteINPD and Nextdoor.com.  The Community Outreach Unit also recorded and published a special episode of Inside The Squad podcast, where officers discussed the project and travel suggestions.  The podcast can be downloaded through SoundCloud, iTunes, or Google Play.  Detour maps and other construction-related information can also be found at restoresagamore.com
