Traffic Stop Leads to Dealing Arrest
On August 17th, 2018 at 12:53 am, Officers with the Lafayette Street Crimes Unit made a traffic stop on a vehicle that was exiting I-65 at the State Road 38 East exit for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Hobart Beedle. Officers conducted a pat down search of Beedle and located 2 syringes, heroin, and $1191 dollars in his pants pocket.
After a police K9 indicated there were possibly narcotics in the vehicle, a search of the vehicle was made. Officers located 47 grams of marijuana, 52 grams of methamphetamine, scales, and other paraphernalia. Beedle consented to a search of his apartment which is located on Ironwood Ct. Inside the apartment officers located 34 grams of marijuana, 22 grams of methamphetamine, and various items of paraphernalia. Officers also located chemicals used in the manufacturing of spice.
Beedle was transported to the Tippecanoe County jail where he was arrested for the following offenses:
Dealing Methamphetamine
Dealing a Narcotic Drug
Dealing Marijuana
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Heroin
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of a Syringe
Possession of Paraphernalia
Maintaining a Common Nuisance
