Death of Retired LPD K9 Tico

It is with great sadness that the Lafayette Police Department announces the death of retired LPD K9 Tico.  Tico served along with his handler, Officer AJ Demello from 2005 through 2013.  After his retirement Tico was able to live out his final years with Officer Demello and his family.  Tico was 16 years old.  Our thoughts go out to the Demello family.
