Named in recognition of a $70,000 donation from William and Michele McCaw, this popular, 26-acre park serves residents on the east side of the community.
The state-of-the-art playground at McCaw Park was added in summer/fall 2017. It features multiple slides, climbing apparatuses, swings, monkey bars, and an Expressions swing. The playground is situated on poured-in-place rubber surfacing, ensuring that all people can gain access to the facility.
The 12 lighted, wheelchair accessible pickleball courts were added to McCaw Park in 2018. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the United States, and players of all ages now have a place to play in our community. For more information about local pickleball, check out the Lafayette Indiana Pickleball Association's website or Facebook.
Rental FacilitiesThere are two shelters available to rent at McCaw Park. Both of the shelters can seat 30 people comfortably, and each can be rented for a fee of $50.00.
McCaw Shelter #1 is located next the playground. McCaw Shelter #2 is located near a wooded area (on the right side of the drive as you enter the park). Access to both shelters is off Union Street. Please see the McCaw Park Map for more location details.
