Driving lane, parking & sidewalk closures for the Ellsworth Project construction 12/28/20 to 7/29/22

Construction of the Ellsworth Project, closures for construction, deliveries, hoisting and trash removal from 12/28/20 to 7/29/22. Closure locations: South Street sidewalk and parking from 4th Street to 5th Street; 5th Street Southbound lane and sidewalk; Alabama Street Westbound lane and sidewalk. Detail summary of closures: Installing jersey barriers with chain link fence on top of barriers, closing off parking and sidewalk on the South side of South Street from the entry into Regions Bank parking lot, East to 5th Street; then the Southbound lane and sidewalk on 5th Street from South Street to Alabama Street; then the Westbound lane and sidewalk on Alabama Street from 5th Street to 4th Street. Public Safety Bldg. traffic control, 601 Columbia St. between 6th & 7th St. 5/8/21-1/5/23

Public Safety Building and Garage Project traffic control, 601 Columbia Street between 6th Street and 7th Street. 6th Street between Columbia Street and South Street will be closed to all traffic except police. 7th Street between Columbia Street and South Street, one-way Northbound. Traffic Disruption - Main St between 6th and 7th St.

From April 1st to October 1, there will be traffic disruptions on Main St between 6th and 7th St. While traffic may be maintained in both directions, there will be interruptions for the tower crane operating space, loading and unloading for wood framing, and semi trailers. Closure - Parking Lanes on Chestnut and 1st St.

From April 8 to June 24, the parking lane of the West side of Chestnut street and the parking lane of 1st st to install and pressurize new gas mains. Closure - Elm St, Warehouse St, and Wabash Ave

From April 28 to June 24, there will be a closure of both lanes of Warehouse and Elm St at the intersection for the five week period. Lane Restriction - Poland Hill Rd, S 9th St, Ortman Ln, and Twykenham

From May 9th to July 1st, there will be several lane restrictions in the Dover Estates subdivision to repair the roads and replace wheelchair ramps. These will be from Poland Hill Rd to South 9th St to Ortman Lane, to Twykenham Blvd. These repairs will not close the roads, but there will be restrictions on traffic around the area while work is being done. Closure - Main St.

From May 27 to July 1, there will be construction on Main St. between 8th St (North Side) and 9th St (West of Revelle Coffee Shop) as part of the Lafayette Streetscape Phase IV project. Closure - Greenbush and Creasy

From June 7 to June 28, the West turn lane on Creasy at the intersection of Greenbush and Creasy, and the South turn lane on Greenbush onto Creasy Lane will be closed due to construction and the installation of a sanitary forcemain. Traffic will still be permitted to turn onto Greenbush off of Creasy, however, delays and traffic lines should be expected. Signs and barrels will be on site to direct traffic. Sidewalk Closure - 315/317 Columbia St.

From June 8th to July 5, there will be a sidewalk closure directly in front of 315/317 Columbia St. to allow for scaffolding and work to take place on the building. Sidewalk Closure - 20 N 3rd St.

Closure - Abbey Lane

From June 20 to June 30, there will be a closure of Abbey lane between Dover Lane and Sussex Ct to replace the intersection of Dover and Abbey. All Eastbound/Westbound traffic on Dover and Sussex will not be affected, and residents of Sussex Ct will not be affected. Closures - 18th St, 29th St, Vinton

From June 20 to June 28, there will be lane closures and restrictions while milling and resurfacing is being done. 18th St will have restrictions down to one lane from Brady to Beck and Erie to Schuyler. 29th St and Vinton St. will be closed during daylight hours and flaggers will be present. 29th will be closed from Greenbush to Vinton and Vinton will be closed from 29th to Elmwood Ave. For further information, please contact Ethan Cinatl at 765-412-0933 or ethan.cinatl@milestonelp.com
