Caterpillar, Inc. and Lafayette Parks and Recreation teamed up to fill a void in the recreation needs of the city. Just south of the Caterpillar facility is approximately 32 acres of land that was transformed into CAT Park and Soccer Fields. The park includes 8 soccer fields of varying sizes. In 2005, a restroom/concession building was added to the park along with additional parking and a 2nd entrance/exit.
