Litter-Free Lafayette
The "Litter-Free Lafayette" initiative brings together a revamped Adopt-A-Spot program with all-new Adopt-A-Trail and Sponsor-A-Street programs. We partner with local groups and businesses to keep our community looking its best.
When a group or business commits to one of these programs, they will receive the following benefits:
- Sponsor shout-outs on Parks Department social media
- Recognition in the Parks Department's annual Fun Guide
- Recognition on City of Lafayette's website
- Annual member event or other incentives
- Highly-visible signage displaying your business/group name in your sponsored or adopted area
Adopt-A-Spot Program
Adopt-A-Spot is a great opportunity for groups and/or businesses to make a difference in our community. In this program, your group will be responsible for monthly visits to your "spot" for litter pick-up, leaf and weed removal, and perennial maintenance. The Adopt-A-Spot program requires a 2-year commitment, and your business/group name will be displayed on a 30" x 6" sign in your designated "spot".
Adopt-A-Trail Program
Adopt-A-Trail is a civic-minded way for businesses and/or groups to help out in our community. The Adopt-A-Trail program requires a monthly visit to your adopted trail area for litter pick-up. This program requires a 2-year commitment, and your business/group name will be displayed on two 18" x 6" signs (one at each end of your adopted area of trail).
Sponsor-A-Street
The Sponsor-A-Street program is a maintenance-free way to get involved in the beautification of our great city. Our crews and contractors will take care of all necessary litter pick-up, leaf and weed removal, and perennial maintenance. Your business/group name will be placed on a highly visible sign (36" x 6") along Sagamore Parkway, Veterans Memorial Parkway, or Greenbush Street. We hope to expand to more locations as our program grows.
