Americans With Disabilities Act

The City of Lafayette is committed to ensuring that all City-owned facilities are accessible and inclusive, in full alignment with the standards set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This commitment reflects the City's dedication to upholding the rights and dignity of all individuals—residents, visitors, and employees alike.

While the financial scope of achieving immediate, comprehensive ADA compliance across all municipal properties presents a significant challenge, the City is proactively prioritizing strategic, cost-effective improvements. These targeted projects are selected based on their urgency, feasibility, and their potential to deliver the greatest positive impact on the community. Through this phased and thoughtful approach, Lafayette continues to advance equity and access for all.
